I ran into Richard Kalvar on the subway yesterday, I couldn't believe it. He was a real nice guy. We rode the A train from 23rd Street down to West 4th, chatted about this interview, Paris, his upcoming book, etc. His "Piazza della Rotonda, 1980" image was featured in the show "First Contact" at Silverstein and I remarked to him how his name was not included on the exhibition press release (http://www.silversteinphotography.com/documents.php?id=238). Though I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture of him, actually getting to meet him was a huge honor. Thanks for doing this interview.

Hey great interview - thanks for introducing us to this wonderful photographer. Was dissapointed when I got to the end of the Rome story to find out there was no book! Besides this Earthlings book, is there any way to see the Rome photos?!
